The footwear company Scarpa was established in 1938 by Lord Rupert Edward Cecil Lee Guinness. His fondness for the region of Asolo in Italy fuelled his desire to employ the skilled leatherworkers from that mountain area. And it is from there that the Scarpa name found its origin - as an acronym in Italian for the association of footwear manufacturers in Asolo. It is also very fittingly the literal Italian word meaning 'shoe'. So the development of high quality outdoor footwear began.
Today, Scarpa's high quality walking shoes and boots are trusted by hiking adventurers all over the world. Their range of men's and women's leather and textile boots is still made with skill and attention to design, making Scarpa a popular choice for walkers who want superior footwear that will last.
Scarpa are the specialists if you are looking for walking boots you can trust.
