The first Brasher boot was designed by Chris Brasher in 1978, since then their walking shoes and boots have been trusted for all levels of hiking, from light country rambling to expeditions in the most demanding conditions.
As an athlete, Chris Brasher knew what kind of technology to put into his footwear to make it comfortable and reliable; in 1956 he won an Olympic gold medal in the 3,000m steeplechase. He later went on to co-found the London Marathon in 1981 and became the second president of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races!
Brasher was an advocate of the active lifestyle and he designed his first walking boot to cope with demanding outdoor adventures, whilst retaining the comfort of a running shoe. To this day, two core values of the Brasher brand are comfort and durability.
The Brasher range has developed and grown - now including walking socks to make expeditions in any season comfortable and enjoyable - however demanding the terrain.
Brasher is a name to trust when looking for high quality, comfortable walking boots - with choices in men's and women's fit in either leather or fabric.
'I love my Brasher boots. They have accompanied me on my many adventures that have taken me to the top of Cairngorm, Ben Macdui, Ben Nevis, Devils Peak, Snowdon, Cadair Idris They have walked with me all along Hadrian's Wall and further a field to the snowy tops of Gross Glockner and Kilimanjaro.
