Targhee iii sandals
These are very good sandals. I bought as a pair of hiking shoes. They are very comfortable. I have used them on one hike, a 9km woodland walk. Paired with waterproof socks as it's January in the UK, not typical sandals weather. The Targhees performed really well. The soles give good grip in various conditions such as ice and mud. I felt more sure footed than if I wore hiking boots or shoes which would normally have stiffer soles. Some may consider the flexibility of the sole a bit of a downside. For example, in a scree field you are going to feel a lot more than you would in a stiffer sole. I think you need to condition your feet if you are switching from stiff soled boots/shoes. I like that the soles of the feet are more engaged with this footwear. These have a massive advantage over waterproof footwear for hiking in the UK where in some places/times it is impossible to stay dry. With these you can wade through streams and bogs and at least you know you can start the next day dry. Waterproof boots take about a week to dry once they are wet inside.
