Gerber Bear Grylls Scout Knife
Bear Grylls has collaborated with outdoor tech experts, Gerber, to launch his popular 'Survival Series' of wilderness kit.
Using his experience as Chief UK Scout, Bear and the team have designed this functional knife specifically for Scouts.
The Scout Knife is a versatile single folding drop point blade which is thin and lightweight and made from durable and corrosion resistant high carbon stainless steel. The blade also features a small thumb stud on each side, for easy single-hand opening.
It's worth noticing that there are now two versions of the Scout knife available! The original grey handled one has a ½ serrated blade that makes it an ideal companion for edge retention and cutting rope whereas the black handled one has a full fine blade and a sleek black look on both the handle and the blade!
Of course, an essential feature of any folding knife is the blade lock and the Bear Grylls Scout Knife naturally includes a lock back mechanism for safe usage.
Moving onto the knife grip which is made from ergonomically designed textured rubber. It is comfortable to hold and easy to grip, which is important when using any blade. This striking orange contrasting grip complements the steel blade and also features the iconic Bear Grylls logo.
On one side of the grip, a clip has been added to easily attach your closed knife onto clothing or a bag. The lanyard hole at the end of the grip is also ideal for simple transport or hanging your knife up in camp.
Finally, Bear has also included a pocket guide of his own survival priorities - essential notes for any Scout or outdoor adventurer!
